Practice in choosing designs

1. Have students complete this worksheet.
2. Present students with factorial experiments and ask them to guess which design was used and why
3. Have students find experiments in textbooks and ask them to justify which type of design should have been used.
4. Ask students to figure out why, in perception experiments that employ factorial designs, within-subjects designs tend to be used, whereas in social psychology experiments employing factorial designs, between subject designs tend to be used.
