yc (Psi Chi) is the national honorary society in psychology. yc seeks
to enhance psychology by supporting professional organizations and educational
activities. The Clarion chapter of the society encourages and supports
student professional development through discussions, speakers, and trips
to professional meetings. The Clarion chapter has a long record of
community service projects which function to both assist others and learn
about our selves. Students who have outstanding academic records
and are interested in psychology are eligible to join.
Requirements for Membership:
* Completion of eight (8) semester hours of psychology (or equivalent)
or
Completion of six (6) semester hours and registration for at
least two additional hours
* Major or minor in psychology
* Upper 35 percent of your class (overall QPA at least 3.0)
* Superior performance in psychology courses (Psychology QPA at least 3.2)
* Approval by 75% of the members present at a regular meeting
of Psi Chi
