This is a simple example of my family genogram (1/95). As you look at it, you may want to generate hypotheses about how my family functions. A variety of patterns and hypotheses (which are either confirmed or disconfirmed) can be generated for any family genogram and are limited only by your imagination.

Hatched lines do not show up well (at all) on my monitor. If you can't see them either, draw them between by siblings (my brother, age 36; sister, 25) and their partners. My daughter's adoption is also indicated by a hatched (almost invisible) line. Draw conflict lines between my 36 year old brother and his wife and oldest daughter. Draw another conflict line between my mother and my 12 year old niece.
