Attend a multicultural event (lecture, play, student organization, art exhibit) -- or rent a foreign film or read a book written by an author from another culture or country. What are the values endorsed? These values may include issues around power, intimacy, beliefs in who controls their destinies, the importance of children or sexuality, as well as many other issues.

How do you know? How are these values communicated verbally? Nonverbally? Be as concrete as you can as you describe how you recognize these values.
