The basic survival kit gives you
enough to get by. Most people will need to go beyond this. These are pages
we've found to be very
useful.
- PsychNET, the
home page of the American Psychological Association, a series of links
including articles from the American Psychologist, the Monitor,
as well as a multitude of other resources offered by the APA
- American
Psychological Society "Advancing the scientific discipline and
the giving away of psychology in the public interest"
- Psych
Web from Georgia Southern
- Psych Central, like Psych Web, this is a massive site, with a little bit about everything in Psychology
- WPIC
Library Mental Health Resources includes links to university psychiatric
departments, usenet groups, and on-line psychiatric and medical journals,
based out of Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, University of Pittsburgh
- the Psychology
Jumping Stand from Indiana University East, a page of useful links
- Mental Health Net,
recently awarded a four star rating by NetGuide Magazine, with over 3000
professional and self-help resources.
- Mental Health
InfoSource,
put out by the publishers of Psychiatric Times
- Mood
disorders, a page of links of a variety of resources, both psychiatric
and self-help, for people with mood disorders (and their partners).
- Joy Ikelman's
page on bipolar disorder is a moving, literate, and intelligent description
of bipolar disorders. This page has a number of useful links, including
an excellent list
of people who have admitted they have an affective disorder. Her page has
deservedly received an award from Mental Health Net for excellence.
- Rapid Psychler
Press, which publishes PsychoIogical Bulletin, offers something
from the lighter side for a hectic day.
