Clarion University Psychology Club is a group of students with an interest in psychology. All students are welcome regardless of major. The only requirement is that you want to learn more about psychology and related issues. Throughout the semester we bring in speakers and do community service.

Psychology Club Minutes for 10/4/06
Meeting Opened!
1. The minutes for each meeting are posted on the Psychology Club bulletin board if you miss a meeting or did not receive the minutes through e-mail.

2. We will be cleaning Passages every other Tuesday. Come help out and receive community service points towards the conference!

3. Dr. Haynes brought some t-shirts from last year. They are for sale for $10 if anyone is interested.

4. Check out the information on receiving a writing endorsement posted on the Psychology Club board or ask an officer if you have any questions on what this is!

5. The people that volunteer to lead discussions at the Hip Hop Symposium are to be on the second floor of Gemmel at least 10 minutes before the time of your discussion!

6. The club voted to go see Paul Jones as a group! He will be speaking about his battle with Bipolar Disorder on November 1st at 8PM in the Gemmel Multi Purpose Room.

7. Make sure you sign up for how many boxes of Daffins candy bars you want to sell! Psych Club will receive 50% of the profit!!

8. We will be doing a candle sale as another fundraiser sometime before Christmas!

9. We will be voting on donating money to the Children's Books Fund at the next meeting.

10. The conference committee booked rooms at the actual hotel that the conference will be held at and also reserved the CSA vans!

11. We made decorations for the Beverly Health Center's Halloween party and ate pizza for the duration of the meeting.

Psychology Club at a glance


The Clarion University Psychology Club was established to offer students interested in psychology an opportunity to help the community while broadening their understanding of psychology. Thr throughout the year, the club hosts speakers on various topics in psychology, engages in community service projects, and fundraises for the annual trip to a psychologiercal conference. In addition, memberes who regularly attend meetings have the opportunity to interact with their peers to gain advice on classes and explore career opportunities within their chosen discipline. The club also works to invlove the University, as a whole, in activities that are important to both psychology students as well as non-psychology students. So dont be afraid to come on down and JOIN!!!

Meetings are on Wednesday at 6 PM in Harvey conference room.
